MR. MEHUL S. PAREKH
GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATIONCHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (ACTING)
Mehul Parekh is the acting Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
In this role, he is responsible for the management of the more than $30 billion in funding that flows through the agency and more than 500 financial personnel at GSA’s central office and its 11 regions nationwide. Mr. Parekh oversees all financial functions and activities, including strategic planning, performance management, budgeting, accounting, analytics and reporting, financial operations and audits.
Serving as GSA’s Director of Budget since 2018, Mr. Parekh has overseen the agency’s overall budget formulation and execution processes for all GSA programs.. Prior to his arrival at GSA, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), where he was responsible for providing agency-level leadership for budgeting, finance, and procurement.
Mr. Parekh’s federal career includes 31 years of experience focusing on strategic planning and budget formulation and execution. Prior to serving at the NLRB, Mr. Parekh served as the Director of the Contracts and Finance Branch of the Transportation Security Administration, part of the Department of Homeland Security.
Mr. Parekh joined the Senior Executive Service in March 2016. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Lake Forest College.
